When you feel all hope is lost and the world has turned its back on you, even friends whom you thought had your best interests are nowhere to be found. It is in those desperate situations that God remains the same God of yesterday and today. He is the same God who brings comfort and peace. I’ve witnessed countless times when I was at my breaking point and felt hopeless, and it was precisely then that God showed up and rescued me. There is no limit to how far He will go to take us out of a desperate situation. As Psalm 56 reminds us, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” I pray that you may find encouragement and strength in these words.
